Tablet Comparison Identifies Web Browsing Best Practices

Tablet devices vary considerably in terms of supporting the full range of Internet content and technologies. A study by Principled Technologies reveals that an Intel® processor-based tablet can experience fewer problems, is less dependent on workaround apps, and is more likely to work the way the user expects.

The document compares how different tablets handle a wide range of Internet content. Of the several browser/tablet combinations tested, the Intel® Atom™ processor-powered tablet running Windows* 8 Pro operating system along with either Microsoft Internet Explorer* or Google Chrome* browsers experienced the fewest problems. Findings suggest this type of tablet is likely to deliver a feature-rich Internet browsing experience without filling storage space with extra apps.
