英特爾參與各項無線產業標準制定與管理的論壇、聯盟、工作小組,如IEEE、Wi-Fi Alliance、Wireless Broadband Alliance。Wi-Fi 6E使用最新開放的免執照6GHz無線頻段,擁有更豐富的頻譜,沒有2.4GHz、5GHz頻段與過往Wi-Fi標準競爭的壓力。已搭載或是已宣布使用Wi-Fi 6E無線網路卡的英特爾架構電腦,至2022年5月為止已高達350款以上,代表英特爾不僅是產業技術的領導者,更以堅實技術標準的領導地位為本,影響產業多方合作並釋放創新能量,提供最佳的連線平台體驗。
預計於2024年推出第一版正式規範的802.11be/Wi-Fi 7,英特爾成員在IEEE 802.11工作小組中擔任許多重要角色,參與多項技術標準制定工作。Wi-Fi 7將在Wi-Fi 6基礎上,提升使用6GHz、強化可靠度、降低延遲和提供大於5Gbps的速度1。其中頻道頻寬和調變方式將提升至320MHz和4096 QAM,更首次導入Multi-Link Operation多重連接模式、Multi-RU Puncturing,並將低延遲運作模式納入考量。
英特爾Wi-Fi 7的研發步調如火如荼進行中,並與主要生態系合作廠商進行硬體、軟體、作業系統等平台驗證工作與互通性測試,亦如同Wi-Fi 4/5/6/6E時代持續參與Wi-Fi Alliance測試平台與驗證。產業合作部分,與Casper Wireless Test Facility完成互通性測試,以及透過Intel® Connectivity Analytics技術,連結Cisco Catalyst無線控制器和Cisco Meraki儀表板提供Intel® Wi-Fi 6/6E客戶端相關統計資料,讓網路管理者能夠做出更好的決策。英特爾含有Bluetooth 5.2功能的Intel Wi-Fi 6/6E解決方案亦支援藍牙追蹤器,享有找尋遺失物品的Tile Finding功能。Engineered for Intel® Evo™/vPro®計畫,則是廣邀生態系廠商打造優質的專屬配件。
Intel Evo平台提供的Intel® Connectivity Performance Suite 1.0,就如同內建一位無線網路小幫手,能夠自動調整網路流量優先權,或是替使用者連線至最佳的無線網路AP熱點。2022下半年即將登場的Intel® Double Connect Technology更能夠將此效益發揮至極致,使用者的電腦將能夠同時連線2個無線網路頻段,藉以提升傳輸速度,或是將不同頻寬需求、優先權的網路流量自動分配至不同的無線網路頻段。如此豐富的軟、硬體創新和產業生態系合作,造就英特爾在無線網路產品的領先地位,並將延續至未來的Wi-Fi 7世代。
